First lady Jill Biden reportedly hears jeers during the Eagles game

As the Philadelphia Eagles attempted to maintain their perfect record against NFC East foe Dallas Cowboys in Week 6, the first lady of the United States, Jill Biden, served as an honorary captain for the team.

Biden allegedly encountered boos from Eagles supporters as well as those of Santa Claus and other Eagles players when she entered Lincoln Financial Field, the only NFL club still undefeated.

Several spectators at the Eagles game tweeted about the loud booing that she appeared to have gotten.

Biden addressed the crowd in singing “Fly Eagles Fly,” participated in the coin toss, and was seen chatting with Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Philadelphia Inquirer said that Biden attended the gathering to support the White House’s Cancer Moonshot effort. Cancer patients, survivors, and their families joined her on the field.

Both the president and Jill Biden are ardent Eagles supporters. The current president was present at Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, where the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots to win their first championship.

In May 2021, the president praised Eagles supporters.
At the time, Biden remarked, “Philadelphia supporters are the most knowledgeable and obnoxious fans in the world.”
